Teaching
At the beginning of my teaching journey, my primary goal was for each student to leave the classroom with a lasting appreciation for the arts. Over time, I realized that fostering meaningful relationships with students is the foundation for achieving that goal. By understanding their interests, experiences, and learning styles, I am able to create a classroom where students feel valued, supported, and motivated to grow.
I design lessons that both engage and challenge students, encouraging creative problem-solving, experimentation, and critical thinking across a variety of media. Connecting artistic concepts to students' lives makes learning relevant and inspires curiosity, while also helping them develop technical skills and confidence.
Equally important is maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment. My classroom is a space where students can take risks, express themselves freely, and learn from mistakes without fear. Respect, collaboration, and empathy guide every interaction, ensuring that all students can thrive academically and personally.

By focusing on strong relationships, engaging instruction, and a safe learning space, I help students not only develop their artistic abilities but also cultivate the confidence, resilience, and curiosity to carry their creativity beyond the classroom.
